

When you’re ready, click the “Rename” button, and PowerRename will perform the operation you’ve specified. Item Extension Only: If checked, the operation will only apply to the file or folder’s extension and not its name.Item Name Only: If checked, the operation will only apply to the file or folder’s name and not its extension.Enumerate Items: This will add a number, counting upward, to the end of each file that is renamed.

Within this same option, you can also set a parameter for how you want to change the file name. The first option allows you to rename files by making changes to properties like Prefix, Suffix, Separator, Extension and more.

For example, if you select a directory that has files within sub-folders, those will not be affected. One of the options available in Batch File Renamer is the ability to change file names based on two parameters.
